 Freedom in Kalifornia
« Thread Started on Mar 15, 2008, 6:39pm »

Hello, this is my first post. I live in Kalifornia and since the law is universal, I have been trying to apply your ideas, and my own, here locally. I was stopped by a police man the other day while walking and thought I would try out my right to freedom.

I was leaving a pub and had recently drank 2 large mugs of beer (I was racing a friend who said he would buy if I could drink the whole thing in under 15 seconds. I won so he bought me another. After drinking both very rapidly I headed off for home (3 blocks away.)

As I went to cross the street, the beer started foaming up and expanding(some of you know the feeling.) It came out right in the middle of the street. The cop who was ahead of me flipped around and came back. He cut me off on the other side of the road and called me over to his car. The conversation went something like this.

Cop: Come here. Where you coming from?
Me: That bar right there. (pointing)
Cop: Let me see your drivers license.
Me: I'm not driving.
Cop: Show me your ID.
Me: Am I required to have one?
Cop: What is your Social Security Number?
Me: I couldn't tell you.
Cop: It is illegal for you to be drunk in public. I could take you in blah blah blah
Me: Is it?
Cop: Where's your house?
Me: Its a couple of blocks away.

He kept asking for ID or other incriminating information but I just stood my ground and had a big smile on my face. Finally he got bored of asking the same questions and left. I think if I would have given him a hard time he would have gave me one.

it is a good response
they are there to make sure we are all right
after the conversation he knew you were fine
but you set the tone
and didnt let him play his end game
and was polite in doing it
great first post

but the moderators will be telling you to put it up over in their new forum
so yoiu could possably put a link up in the new forums
[success stories?]
but well done
the peace officers been thinking thier policing for too darn long
remember you dont give them permission to search [ever]

thats invasaion of privacy ,and nothing to do with peace [cause its policing ]
they are fishing for some break in thier laws to get cash from you

their innocent questions arnt ever innocent
[good peace officer or cop bad policing ,we set the tone]
